We want to support our teams and the individuals we serve in reaching their dreams - no matter how big or small.
We launched the Dream Project in 2022 as an additional benefit to all employees at Sample Supports. In 2023, we launched this program for all people in services.
The mission behind the Dream Project is to model, encourage, and practice personal goal setting and achievement in our workforce with the intention of replicating those skills with the individuals we serve.

How exactly will we do that?
With the launch of the Dream Project, Sample Supports will be providing social and emotional support, funding, and coaching to all employees and individuals in services to help them reach their personal/professional dreams.
Meet some of the people who achieved their dreams so far!
Maddie is a DSP up in our Northern Colorado Region. Maddie's dream is to make disabilities a normal part of everyday life through neurodiverse affirming and disability representing products! Sample Supports supported Maddie in purchasing a Cricut machine to make these products. Maddie created her first shirt since receiving her Cricut:
Erin is a Behavior Specialist in our Denver Region. Erin's dream was to increase his exercise, refresh his brain, and maintain his self-care routine! Sample Supports supported Erin in purchasing a walking pad for his office and he shared, "I try to be at my best for the client we serve; the walking pad helps me be my best"!
Paul’s recently accomplished Dream Project! Every year, Paul takes a trip to visit his mom in Washington, and this year, with the support of his provider, Whitney Curley, he was able to have a fun, safe, and successful journey. It’s not an easy drive, but Paul and Whitney handled it like champs and had a fantastic time spending quality time with his mom.

We’re excited to highlight another inspiring Dream Project from our team! Ali, a dedicated member of our staff, had a dream of repaying her student loans—a goal that holds deep significance for her. Having worked hard to earn her degree with the intention of helping those facing mental health and psychological challenges, Ali’s education was a key step in making a meaningful impact. With the support of Sample Supports, Ali is now on her way to achieving financial stability by reducing her student loan debt. We’re proud to support Ali in reaching her goals and building a bright, debt-free future! Keep it up, Ali!
We’re thrilled to share an update on Anna’s Dream Project! As part of her goal to stay active, Anna requested a standing desk and treadmill to walk while working. With support from Sample Supports, she also joined the Conqueror Challenges and has already completed "The Shire," the first in a series of five challenges inspired by Lord of the Rings. So far, she’s walked 145 miles, lost 55 pounds, and is on track to finish a total of 660 miles. We’re incredibly proud of Anna’s dedication and progress toward her fitness goals! Keep it up, Anna!
We’re thrilled to share another inspiring dream project from our Northern Colorado region! Sara, our dedicated Northern Colorado Regional Director, had a dream of joining a gym that offers childcare services. With the support of Sample Supports, Sara was able to secure a membership at a gym that provides childcare, allowing her to focus on her fitness while ensuring her child is in safe hands. We are proud to support Sara in her journey towards better health and balance. Keep up the great work, Sara!
Anna has set a personal goal to do the Conqueror Challenges, a series of virtual exercise challenges where participants earn medals upon completion. She conquered the 41-mile Flower Route and her efforts even led her to complete a virtual 60-mile trek of Mt Kilimanjaro. She is now embarking on the epic Lord of the Rings series, totaling 660 miles, from the Shire to Mordor. Anna's dream was to transform her office with a walking pad and standing desk, supporting her training for her ultimate goal: climbing Mt Bierstadt this summer with her mom!
We have another fun dream project from up North! Zach is in our family caregiver residential services. Zach's dream was to go on a mission trip. Sample Supports was able to support Zach in getting his passport and onboarding a natural support from his organization as a respite provider so that he could support him while on the trip! It is amazing that Zach used his dream project to give back to others, we can't wait to see what he accomplishes next. Way to go Zach!
As part of her MSW program, Beth is receiving her Global Social Work certification where she will be traveling to Bosnia to learn about and support the local community. To prepare for her trip, Beth’s dream is to learn Bosnian so she is better able to interact with the community. How cool is that?! Sample Supports supported Beth by paying for a Bosnian Language Course!
We are excited to spotlight Ian Walsh, our committed Job Development Coordinator. A year and a half ago, Ian embarked on a dream project to improve his fitness, with Sample Supports funding a six-month membership at the Longmont Athletic Club. Ian’s hard work paid off, resulting in a 50 lb weight loss. He enjoyed his experience so much that he extended his membership for another six months before relocating to Loveland. Ian’s journey is a testament to his determination and dedication. Great job, Ian!
Cody is part of our Northern Colorado residential and day program services. Cody loves spending time with friends and being active. Cody's dream was to attend a build-your-own skateboarding event hosted in Fort Collins! Sample Supports was able to support Cody by attending the event and covering the costs of the event. Cody now has his own skateboard that he built himself! Yesterday, Cody went to the local skate park with his residential coordinator to use his new skateboard for the first time!
Jacob has always been a huge Steelers fan and when we heard about his Dream to see them play we knew we had to make it happen. Our team reached out to the Steelers and shared Jacob's passion for the team and the mission for The Dream Project. Without hesitation, the Steelers offered Jacob and his family the experience of a lifetime by offering a special game experience. We helped Jacob fly out to Pittsburg for the game and the rest was pure Dream magic!
Damien's Dream is to become a rock star - and he's clearly accomplished that! We supported Damien with a starting membership to the School of Rock in Fort Collins to build up his skills and take the stage. Damien has been working with School of Rock to learn vocals and more and performed with his new band. Rock on, Damien!
Nicole is a Master's Level Intern with our team and is working her way towards her dream of becoming a licensed social worker! On top of her internship and part-time work in our Behavior Program, Nicole is prepping to ace her licensure exam to become an LMSW. We supported Nicole in signing up for her exam and test prep and know she'll rock it. Licensure here we come!
Mark's Dream was to drive a Ferrari. We were able to connect with Ferrari of Denver to combine Mark's love of cars with his love of giving back to the community. Mark participated in the Ferrari of Denver's Toy Drive donating hundred of gifts to children in need. As a thank you, Mark and his friends toured the dealership and participated in the holiday parade where Mark was able to ride in his dream car. Go Mark go!
Alexa is on her 2nd dream! Alexa was a camp counselor at the City of Boulder's EXPAND Program after college and always wanted to find a way to get involved again. Alexa's dream was to volunteer with the Adaptive Waterski Program! She was trained to rescue, start, and support people in riding adaptive skis across Boulder Reservoir. Alexa hopes to return every summer.
Rob's dream was to participate in his 3rd National Showcase for adaptive ice skating in Boston. Sample Supports was able to support Rob in achieving this dream by having a familiar provider go on the trip to provide respite services and support with hotel costs. Here is what Rob had to share! "This is my 3rd National Showcase, this year in Boston. I had so much fun performing with my friends, Rowan & Grace. My routines were to Les Misérables and The Prom. I got 1st place! On my days off I went to downtown Boston & Cape Cod. Thank you Sample Supports for making it possible for me to go to the National Showcase with my friends!"
Corie is a Behavior Specialist and has a passion for creating art. Corie's dream is to develop a business that incorporates her artwork. To start her dream, Sample Supports is helping Corie develop an LLC and learn more about creating the base to grow her business. As one of her projects, Corie also created and sold the artwork below that will be featured in our Longmont Day Program office. We're excited to see where this launch takes her!
Alexa is our CEO at Sample Supports. Her dream focused on personal and professional growth through exploring nature, conquering new challenges, and learning to adapt to new learning environments. Alexa successfully completed her dream by backpacking the Cirque of the Towers loop with a group of professional adventurous women. Sample Supports helped provide Alexa with gear, unplugged PTO, and emotional support along the way!
Anna is our Payroll Specialist at Sample Supports. Anna's dream focused on her love of metal working and developing a side hustle business of her own. Sample Supports helped Anna with funding and social support to complete metalworking class so she can create hew own pieces of jewelry. Anna's goal is to give back to the individuals at Sample Supports by hosting a metalworking class during day program. We cannot wait to see how big Anna's dream gets as she continues to take on more shop work!
Mischa is a Residential Coordinator in Boulder County. Mischa's Dream is to hike to Via Alpina Trail through the Swiss Alps. This dream is going to take training and preparation. To help Mischa prepare, Sample Supports is providing encouragement through social support plus some ultra lite gear to ensure Mischa is ready for the elements.
