What exactly is foster care and the role of a foster parent? According to the National Adoption Center, The foster care system is a temporary arrangement in which adults provide for the care of a child or children whose birth parent is unable to care for them. Foster care can be informal or arranged through the courts or a social service agency. The goal for a child in the foster care system is usually reunification with the birth family, but may be changed to adoption when this is seen as in the child's best interest. Finding information on how to become a foster parent can be a daunting task, however.

I'm glad everyone who wants to be a foster parent must go through a background check and training. I was worried that some foster parents aren't prepared for it. But I am glad these people are tested and they make sure they know what they're doing.

I found it interesting when you said that you can arrange the papers legally if you want. My best friend informed me that he and his wife are considering adopting a kid, and he asked if I had any suggestions for the best route to go. Thanks to this useful article, I'll be sure to remind him that consulting a foster care will be much better because they can answer all of their concerns.
