A job coach is a professional who helps people with intellectual disabilities find and maintain employment. They work one-on-one with their clients to help them develop the skills they need to be successful in the workforce. Job coaches also assist employers in creating a supportive environment for their employees with intellectual disabilities. By providing job coaching and job development services, job coaches help people with intellectual disabilities achieve independence and become contributing members of society!

After employment is obtained, job coaches provide as much coaching on the worksite as needed for the individual. Job coaching services are provided until the job coach and employer feel that the individual can be successful without job coaching support.
