A job coach is a professional who helps people with intellectual disabilities find and maintain employment. They work one-on-one with their clients to help them develop the skills they need to be successful in the workforce. Job coaches also assist employers in creating a supportive environment for their employees with intellectual disabilities. After employment is obtained, job coaches provide as much coaching on the worksite as needed for the individual.
